About Open Days

Only qualified WGANC amateur members belonging to an 18 Hole Ladies Group may participate in an Association event. These include Open Days and Major Association Tournaments.

An Open Day is a one-day Association Event. Each member club holds an Open Day once a year except when hosting one of the major tournaments or are exempt from holding an Open Day.

Pre-entries:
The Captain or Open Day Chairman is requested to send, by a pre-determined date, a pre-entry form to the Director In Charge of the Open Day. This form should include caddie or electric cart reservations, and the GHIN number of each player entered. Players are requested to pre-enter events by signing the sheets posted on their club bulletin board for this purpose. New this year: members may access the Open Day information on the WGANC Master Calendar. Players are still requested to pre-enter events by coordinating with their respective club's Open Day chairperson.

Acceptance:
All entries accepted (and those not accepted) will be notified by Open Day Chairman (or captain) no less than ten days prior to the Open Day date.

Eligibility:
To be eligible, a player must have a USGA GHIN Handicap Index of 40.4 or less using the posted revision date. A player must be an amateur golfer.

Junior golfers are eligible to compete if they are either an honorary or active member of the WGANC Club’s 18-hole ladies group

Cancellations:
If a player cancels (see date on Letter of Invitation)
without a substitute, she must pay for lunch and cart.
She may play in subsequent Open Days only when
payment has been received by the Director In Charge.

No-Shows:
Any player who does not cancel must pay for lunch and cart and will be ineligible for an Open Day for one year from the date payment is received. Players may cancel by calling Director In Charge, or on the morning of the Open Day, the Pro Shop of the host Club.

Entry fee for Open Day is $3.00 unless otherwise specified.

H. In the event of oversubscribed fields, entries will be equalized by clubs, wherever possible, and then a blind draw for places will be made.

Visiting golfers from private clubs belonging to an association may be invited to play in an Open Day upon notification to the Director In Charge.

Starting times:
Letter of Invitation states time for shotgun events.
